Sustainable Materials
ADBioplastics has developed the multifunctional additive ADBio PLA+, which combined with pure PLA gives rise to PLA-Premium, a bioplastic enhanced to break the limits of PLA by improving the mechanical properties, barrier properties (to oxygen and water vapour) and processability of pure PLA, making it an alternative that, besides being sustainable, is competitive and functional compared to the properties of fossil plastics such as PET, PE or PS.
PLA-Premium is compostable and bio-based and can disintegrate into its basic components in a period of only 3 months under industrial composting conditions, which is certified by the OK Compost Industrial, awarded by TÜV Austria.
This advanced material has technical feasibility in industries such as food and cosmetic packaging, textiles, 3D printing, agriculture or consumer goods, among others.
