NOX Introduces Bio-Circular Balanced PVC to its Products

Seoul-based NOX Corporation (led by CEO Dan Koh), a global LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) manufacturer, has unveiled an ambitious plan to transition to using more sustainable raw materials in all of its products, contributing to carbon reduction worldwide.

The company will substitute more than 95% of the raw materials which go into their flooring products with sustainable sources.

PVC is the largest of the materials used in their flooring, and to meet the sustainability standards, NOX is using Bio-Circular Balanced PVC, a raw material created with discarded resources such as waste cooking oil. This product has been verified to offer a 114% higher carbon reduction than conventional PVC, and is also backed by the highly regarded International Sustainability & Carbon Certification PLUS.

The company's new Acoustic SetaGrip, created with Bio-Circular Balanced PVC, is gaining popularity quickly in the United States for use in hospitals, schools, and other public places where health safety is of utmost importance. It also offers an innovative, non-adhesive installation method that greatly reduces both time and cost.

Going forward, NOX has announced that all their products will be fully recyclable and is striving to become a Circular IVP company that realizes sustainability in every aspect of the production process. This ground-breaking declaration is a pioneering step in the world of LVT flooring and shows their dedication to becoming the industry leader in sustainable production.

Dan Koh, CEO of NOX, said, “NOX aims to redefine and lead the sustainability standard of flooring based on NOX's world-first innovations and integrated vertical production system that has been leading the global LVT flooring market. As a start, NOX has taken a bold step toward committing to sustainability by using Bio-Circular Balanced PVC for all products with the goal of 100% sustainable raw material conversion and declaring producing recyclable products only. More announcements will come this year about our sustainability innovations contributing to carbon reduction, and we would like your anticipation and interest.”
