A partnership between Again Bio and HELM has begun which will work on commercialising sustainable chemicals

Again Bio and HELM recently announced their newly formed partnership which has been formed in order to focus on the distribution and commercialisation of an initial product created by Again, acetic acid.

Again Bio is a startup that works on creating and developing climate technology, whilst HELM is an international chemical corporation. This partnership is significant for many reasons, as it will be beneficial to both Again and to the chemical industry and environment. It is important to Again as the partnership marks that the company is now scaling up their production and will soon be bringing their innovative bio-based climate technology to the market, which is a huge and significant step forwards for the industry. Furthermore, along the same lines, Again having the chance to collaborate with HELM means that Again Bio will now be viewed as a trusted partner in the industry, because they are partnered with one of the largest independent chemical companies that are known globally.

It is Again’s work within the chemical industry that sets them apart from other companies and earned them this partnership. Presently, Again is the world’s first carbon negative chemical manufacturer and the company is leading the way in this field and revolutionising the industry. They are doing this by meeting global demand and doing this in a way that is sustainable to the environment.

Again’s most recent breakthrough, involved combining the power of nature, with cutting-edge science and this combination led the company to the creation of viable solutions to certain challenges. These are the challenges that are being presented by the current, every-day chemical manufacturing processes and the company found a way to use ancient bacteria and modern technology to create a solution. This combination, once applied to a specific process, is able to convert CO2 in chemicals that have a negative carbon footprint. The result of this reaction helps to reduce the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere, whilst also allowing the production of chemicals that are emission-free.

Now that the companies have agreed to collaborate, the partners have signed a 10-year contract that aims to optimise HELM’s expertise and worldwide distribution capabilities and Again’s evident technical proficiency that covers fermenting waste carbon dioxide emissions which will ultimately produce the first 50,000 tonnes of acetic acid.

The industries that surround this project have high hopes for this partnership as it has always been clear that partnerships and agreements always bring a large number of benefits with them. Now that both companies can share their expertise and skills, they will be capable of effective and hopefully efficient change that will make a large impact on the industry and make a difference within sustainable chemical production.

Co-founder of Again, Max Kufner, commented on the partnership being a significant achievement and added, “With Again’s technology and HELM’s long-standing position in the global chemical industry, we can work together to bring our CO2-made products to global markets. Most importantly, this agreement showcases a clear market demand in the market for what we do, which means we’ll be able to capture even more carbon to convert into useful products well into the future.”
