Spanish company Ence has set up a new unit dedicated to decarbonising the energy consumption of its clients
Ence Energia y Celulosa SA is a Spanish company, who produce pulp and are an energy group, have set up a new unit called Magnon Servicios Energtico. This unit is dedicated to designing, developing and executing comprehensive solutions, to deal with decarbonising the energy consumption of its clients.
The new unit uses Ence’s experience in the management of sustainable and certified biomass, making them a company who are using a greener manufacturing process and who are focused on sustainability and being environmentally friendly. One example of how they do this is through the part of this new unit which Ence is using itself.
Ence is a forestry management business and they are using their new renewables unit, Magnon Green Energy, to generate electricity from biomass. This is made possible as Ence currently has 8 biomass-fire plants in Spain, portraying that burning biomass for electricity is not only an option which revolves around greener manufacturing, but is also viable.
Ence stated that the next step for the company is to provide advisory services and to design, build and finance more renewable thermal energy plants for their customers. Following this, Ence will then operate and maintain the plants and be able to guarantee the supply of renewable biomass.
The new developments to the company utilising greener manufacturing come with many advantages for its customers, including a lower carbon footprint and much better prices for using biomass instead of natural gas.
